Open your student home drive and create a new folder for each of your 5 subjects - Right click New Folder
What should you name your folders?

Go into your Digitech folder and create a folder for each standard. Make an abbreviated name no longer than 10 characters e.g. Movie; Report; External; Another suggestion is the Achievement Standard Number.
All your files should be saved in the correct subject folder from now on. All files should be named something that describes what it is.
4 - Take a Screen Shot:
Open your student home drive so you can see the digitech folders you created - Right click on Start and click on Open Windows Explorer. On the left click on Computer and then your home drive.
Click on Start and type Snipping. - You can search for any program on your computer by using this Search.
Click on Snipping Tool - Use this program to take shots of your screen. It creates an image/picture you can use in any document.
With your mouse, draw a square around your folders so it takes a screenshot
Click on the disk - Save Snip
Where should you save this file? On your student home drive, inside Digitech.
What should you call this file? Call it a name that accurately describes what it is.
Make sure the type is JPEG and click Save
5 - Send an Email with an Attachment:
Follow step 3 above if you don't know how to create an email
Answer the following questions in your email before clicking Send:

Click the paper clip, go to your student drive, find the screenshot jpg you did at #4 above. Double click on the screenshot. This should attach the screenshot to your email.
Click Send..
6 - Connect to a printer:
Click on the Start menu and type \\thsdc
Double click on the Library copier and X out of all Windows - all students are given $5 credit at the beginning of the year. Once this runs out, you will need to bring $5 into the office for more printing credit.
ALL assessments need to be printed and submitted by the due dates.
7 - Interest/Talent/Hobby/Like Slideshow:
You are going to design a 5 slide power point (ppt) that show cases ONE "Interest", "talent", "hobby" or "like" you have. It could be a label e.g. Ripcurl; A tattoo artist; Skating; An Actor; A sport; An X-box Game;
Choose wisely because this will become your THEME for your years work including your first standard using Movie Maker.
